TAS Kennet & Swindon was established in 1986 and currently has about 200 members.
Meetings are held at :
Ellendune Centre, Barrett Way, Wroughton, SN4 9LW
Lectures start promptly at 11:00am on the third Monday of every month except July and August.
(December lecture is held on the second Monday).
Doors open at 10am for coffee or tea to give everyone time to enjoy socialising.
Guests are most welcome to come to our lecture meetings - fee of £10 payable at the door. (cash or cards)
TASKS holds one Special Interest Day a year to give an opportunity to study subjects in greater detail than an hour’s lecture allows - these superb days run from 10am to 3pm and include a light lunch.
Tickets for the Special Interest Days are normally sold at meetings three months in advance of the even.
TASKS Heritage Volunteer projects are at the National Monuments Record Centre in Swindon and the Merchant’s House in Marlborough.
TASKS supports an Arts Volunteering (Young Arts) Project each year.

The Arts Society is an arts education charity formed in 1968 by Patricia Fay OBE.

The Arts Society (formerly known as NADFAS) has three volunteering arms; Heritage Volunteers (which includes Church Inventories), Trails of Discovery and Arts Volunteering (Young Arts).
The Arts Society volunteers work on a huge range of projects preserving the nation’s artistic heritage for current and future generations.
The Arts Society works with many other organisations in the arts and heritage fields, including amongst others The National Trust, English Heritage and the Art Fund.
- gives a variety of grants to museums, galleries, arts and conservation projects involving arts for the young. In 2011 The Arts Society (previously called NADFAS) and its member societies gave £241,645 in grants to support the arts, heritage and conservation.
The Arts Society quarterly magazine, the Arts Society Magazine reaches an audience of over 91,000 and has an ABC rating of 77,968.
